Lead Java DeveloperRemote

A market leading security business are looking to expand their team by adding a Technical Lead Java Developer to their team on a permanent basis, based out of the UK on a remote basis. They have several UK sites and the Lead Java Developer will be required to go into the office for the occasional meeting. The successful Lead Java Developer with have the opportunity to gain a great understanding of Big Data and Analytics, experience building scalable applications from the ground up and gain strong knowledge of how to integrate key features into applications to improve existing functionality as well as end-end integrations. The Lead Java Developer will be working within the cloud on highly securable applications which genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives! There is plenty of opportunity for the Lead Java Developer to progress up the ranks with ample career progression available. This is a global organisation and there will be interactions with development teams worldwide.
Essential Skills:
5+ years commercial experience working with Java (OOP), including experience with Spring UK Based applications onlyExperience working on large scale, enterprise systemsGood front end experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript (Angular.js would be highly desirable)Experience working with NoSQL databasesAny knowledge of security practicesExcellent understanding of SOLID principlesGood understanding of caching techniques such as RabbitMQExperience mentoring and leading development teamsDesirable Skills:
Experience with streaming platforms, Kafka, or similarExperience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar toolsBenefits:
