This role is responsible for leading the definition; development and delivery of Functional Safety evidences, consisting of multiple interconnected components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for ADAS department
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Functional Safety Analysis - carry out a range of safety analysis (e.g. Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Impact Analysis) and investigations of the safety requirements to define the expected system safety functionality and their safety targets.
Evaluate multiple system safety design concepts and maintain integrity between system safety and its components to arrive at a safe solution
Functional Safety Architecture - Liaise with architecture teams to maintain alignment with the safety requirements, as well as electrical and physical vehicle architecture.
Functional Safety Concept Specification - prepare safety requirements specification and developing functional safety concept, demonstrating how the system satisfies the identified safety goals
Technical Safety Concept Specification - prepare safety requirements specification and developing technical safety concept, demonstrating how the system implements the Functional Safety Concept
Safety Verification and Validation - ensure appropriate methods are used for Verification and Validation of safety requirements. Plan and track that appropriate set of test are performed to shown fulfilment of safety requirements.
Safety Case - create the evidence that shows ISO 26262 was followed and all relevant work products are available.
What You'll Need
Good relevant experience of applying functional safety within a safety related development project (applying standards such as ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508)
Systems Engineering
Requirements Management (RM)
Good verbal and written communications
Analytical and problem solving skills
Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
Highly advantageous criteria:
Experience in applying Functional Safety and/or Systems Engineering in ADAS and/or AD projects.
Experience in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
Experience in IBM Rational DOORS
Experience in hardware and/or software development
Knowledge of embedded systems control theory and model based engineering
Understanding of SOTIF (ISO/DIS 21448) & Formal structured development process (ISOTF 16949, A-SPICE)
