Seeking talented and forward thinking Java and/or Scala Developers with a background or interest in FinTech/ Finance/ Blockchain.

Having recently secured Series-B funding, Copper is the ideal place for individuals wanting to enjoy a creative, collaborative and ambitious start-up mentality, with the support of an established team. We are building the next wave of cryptocurrency software solutions; including award winning products such as Clearloop - the first platform to connect custodians and exchanges in one secure trading loop, with real time settlement.

 In this role you will:

Have the opportunity to work on brand new greenfield projects within the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology space.

Participate in every stage of product and feature development from conceptualisation to architecture, to build, to release, to iteration and support

Be building the backend for our new features, as well as supporting the existing product lines

Integrate with cryptocurrency exchanges, traditional financial services providers, payment networks and other third-parties

Build out our support new layer one and two blockchain assets, as well as support the existing

Work with a tech stack that includes Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Java, Scala, JavaScript, Backend, ReactJS Frontend, Native iOS, macOS and Windows apps in ElectronJS.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

You are well-versed with the OOP paradigm and design patterns.

Significant experience building Scala/Java applications.

A good understanding of RESTful API and HTTP principles.

An understanding of the critical importance of unit tests, well-versed and able to build automated tests of server-side code (TDD).

Strong written and spoken English language capability.

A pragmatic approach to problem solving, including communicating effectively with your team.

Drive and Passion for your work and the product you are working on.

A desire to continuously improve and develop yourself.

Experience of FinTech/ Finance/ Blockchain - we are also open to experienced developers outside of these industries.
