My client who is based in Birmingham is looking for a Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract inside of IR35.
Expected Experience:
Managing a team to deliver transformation programmes (c£0.5-£3m and delivering efficiencies of £0.25-£1m+).
*Accountable for the successful delivery of the project(s), from design through build, deployment and and handover into sustain with the change being considered as BAU, including their alignment to FND/Openreach strategy, objectives and scorecard.
*Responsible for assuring delivery across a matrix team, including Regional, Customer, Central Ops and Partner functions, the operations (SME's and management), CTIO/TSO etc, Finance, HR etc. This includes regular engagement and influencing at director level.
*Responsible for managing programme risk and impact to operational performance and ensuring change is successfully delivered.
*Inputting to thought leadership/ strategy on the scope of the project across FND, Openreach and, where appropriate, with industry.
*Regular engagement with directors and key stakeholders both internal and external.
*Understanding of future, inflight programmes and governance across FND LT to identify synergies, risks and opportunities.
Design
*Responsible for the translation of business cases/solutions into actionable delivery plan, ensuring collaboration with the discovery arm between design and build to secure successful business case sign off.
*Managing the team and engaging at Principal (director when appropriate) level to sign off delivery roadmap.
*Taking personal responsibility for key stakeholders at a senior level on behalf of the projects; working closely with the operational sponsors to manage the relationships; co-ordinating the activities of the matrixed teams to mobilise the programme.
Build and Implementation
*Responsible for the sign off against key success criteria (e.g. KPI, SLA, etc) and ensuring the projects are successful.
*Responsible for robust deployment plans, considering wider FND and external factors, to ensure successful rollout of the change, across large proportions of the FND workforce.
*Support engagement at Director level to ensure benefit sign off, delivery support and conflict/risk resolution resulting in the successful delivery of programmes.
*Managing stakeholders (internal and external) on in-flight programmes, to ensure buy in and mitigating impact to operational performance.
*Responsible for the teams risk management, delivering to time, budget and quality.
*Contracting and engaging and with Directors / senior operational resources to ensure benefits and key success criteria is signed off to successfully complete project.
*Responsible for all content/collateral for deployment and liasing with L&D to design training, build and deploy briefings and other upskilling e.g. TM's, OM's and SOM's to ensure rollout success.
The skills you will need:
*Experience of managing change (delivery) programmes in a fast paced environment including: cultural, system, process and people impact.
*Understanding of change governance and the ability to direct a team to deliver change across a large organisation.
*Principal level stakeholder management (internal and external)
*Strong analytical capability, commercial and financial acumen
*Understanding of current business, commercial and industry objectives and trends
*Understanding of Openreach product portfolio and competitor product offerings
*Stakeholder management; able to build and maintain a range of senior stakeholder relationships and influence stakeholders to support change agenda.
*Ability to communicate complex problems / solutions in an articulate manner, using data to support your argument and influence stakeholders
*Understanding of existing regulatory framework, including regulatory finance and implications for P&L
*Capable of dealing with ambiguity and translating into business requirements
Expected Experience

*Strong knowledge of the Openreach fibre network delivery process, end to end systems and products
