They have many offices but this role would be based in their West Yorkshire office. Whilst some home working may be allowed, as a junior employee it is important for you to embed within the team and benefit from close support and mentoring from your colleagues so you must be prepared to be largely office based. DescriptionJunior Automation Tester - Halifax - £20-25kThis is an opportunity to learn more about the world of Automation and Manual testing, and build out your skillset in a supportive, quality focused team. Day to day responsibilities will include:Listening to colleagues, offering your views on their work in a positive and constructive manner.Undertaking manual testing throughout delivery sprints to prevent any time lag between development and release.Taking on feedback from others, adopting new ideas and making them your own.Living the company values and showing appreciation for your colleagues at all times.Building awareness of standards and controls.Building an understanding of modern test-driven development (TDD), behaviour-driven development (BDD) and automated testing principles, procedures, practices and tools, in line with the TDD, BDD and automated testing strategy.Working with your mentor to observe and learn, including practical hands on experience.Working with more experienced Automation Engineers and QA Engineers to enhance learning.ProfileThe successful candidate will demonstrate a clear passion for technology and for continued learning. GCSE level or above education.An Interest in Technology / IT and developing / testing digital products.Be a self-starter.Inquisitive and methodical approach.Interest in learning programming languages and technologies, such as React, JavaScript, node JS and C#.Good understanding on OOPS concepts.Good knowledge on TDD, BDD frameworks.ISTQB foundation level.Job OfferSo, think this is the right opportunity for you?
