Junior Software Tester - up to 30K

Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Software Tester to be based on the Isle of Wight, to work for an established, growing organisation, who specialise in software solutions within the manufacturing industry.

Working within an agile/waterfall environment, the successful Junior Software Tester will be working on new and existing projects in the test and deployment of software products and solutions. Testing a broad variety of Client, Web and GUI based information systems and applications.

Skills / Environment (not all essential):

*Bachelor level degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar or at least 1-2 years of work experience in a software development environment as a software tester.

*Experience in the testing of Client, Web and GUI based systems and applications.

*Functional and integration testing experience.

*Performance, load and stress testing.

*Exposure of products developed in ASP.Net and C#.

*MS SQL Server and the writing of queries for storing, sorting and retrieval of data.

*Bug tracking tools such as MS Test Manager (MTM) and DevOps.

*Automated functional and non-functional testing using tools such as Selenium.

*Any testing certifications, such as ISTQB.

As the successful Junior Software Tester, you will have a technical background and understanding of the software test cycle. Good experience in the design, review and execution of functional, non-functional and system level test specifications as part of the SDLC.

Salary: up to 30K

Benefits: 5% pension, bonus, healthcare, 25 days holiday, 37 hours per work
