Senior Engagement & Events Manager

Job description

We are looking for a senior marketing and events manager with strong experience in a communications delivery role, agency or client-side. They will play a key role in developing and delivering integrated paid-for marketing campaigns and also in planning and coordinating external events, conference delegations and other activities to support the recruitment and retention of technical staff in our Software Engineering profession.

We expect a hands-on individual who will be able to help develop our brand to increase our attractiveness in the Software Engineering market to help us achieve our recruitment objectives. The role will include executing campaign activity from initial research through strategic development, creative and media planning and implementation and evaluation.

We are looking for a highly organised and engaged individual to work with our in-house recruitment and marketing team to cope with surge demands and specific events.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

*End to end delivery of recruitment marketing activities:

oSourcing and analysing insight to set KPIs, define audiences and inform creative and media plans

oInternal stakeholder management

oWorking with third parties to deliver to plans

oEvaluation of performance and delivery of reports to inform future work

*The development of content and marketing materials to communicate effectively our brand and our offer, which should include web content, promotional videos or other materials - considering our overall brand and ensuring alignment with that of overarching brands

*Support the development and maintenance of relationships with third party channels and bodies to communicate our brand and offer in a coherent and consistent way to our target audiences; promoting the DDaT Software Engineering offer through them.

*Events support; arranging, attending and executing events, working with others. This may include taking overall responsibility for the delivery of successful events (for instance briefings or conference stands). This is likely to include co-ordinating the attendance of representatives and ambassadors from within the software engineering team but should also include a willingness to represent our brand independently when engaging with potential candidates and other organisations on our behalf.

Essential Criteria

We are looking for a candidate with excellent marketing skills as well as the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of audiences and stakeholders. They should have:

*Experience delivering a variety of recruitment marketing events and the use of marketing tools (for instance jobs boards) to deliver recruitment marketing from initial research through strategic development, creative and media planning and implementation and evaluation

*Experience working at pace to deliver several campaigns in support of communications priorities, which can change at short notice. This should include prioritisation and management of small-scale projects effectively

*Aptitude for creative development: to include developing propositions, messaging and media assets to support our campaigns

*A detailed understanding of media planning and implementation: to include development of strategies and integrated multi-channel media channel plans and management of delivery

*A demonstrable collaborative approach: showing an ability to develop and deliver marketing campaigns within a multi-skilled communications team in tight cooperation with recruiters

Desirable Criteria

*Experience of supplier management, to include creative and/or media agencies or leading media owners.

*Experience of accurate budget management

*A track record of influencing colleagues to secure buy-in to proposals
