DescriptionSenior Automation Test Engineer - Manchester - C#Reporting to the Specialist Test Engineer, the Test Engineer will play a key role in one of our multi-disciplined software teams, with the opportunity to influence tools and testing approaches. Ensure production of realistic estimates for test effort associated with any features requiring testing.Ensure planning of the test approach for any features requiring testing through consultation with wider Technology Team(s).Advise and guide others on test best practice and ways of working.Advise on automation best practices.Delivery of high quality automated testing of our cutting-edge new and existing software products and features, across Frontend, Backend, web and mobile apps.Working collaboratively with delivery team to ensure quality throughout the delivery process from sprint planning to completion. Champion new ideas and identify areas of improvement across the entire test process. Utilizing automated tests to identify defects and ensure the results are reported and defects are triaged, whilst feeding into technical standards and the continuous improvement of the testing suite.ProfileWe are looking for an experienced, passionate Senior Automation Test Engineer with the following experience:Essential:Hands-on automation testing background, across UI, Frontend, Backend, web APIs and mobile.Ability to create automated scripts, using C#.A good understanding of code, in any language.The ability to take responsibility, prioritise and manage conflicting priorities.Confident, decisive and adaptable, with good communication skills.Nice to have:Financial services, loans or other regulated environment.Ability to integrate test cases on CI/CD pipelines, using Octopus or VSTS.Mobile App automation testing.Job OfferA personal L&D budget to spend on your career development, plus access to learning tools such as Udemy.The opportunity to work with new tools and tech and the opportunity to influence what you use.
