Trade Finance Analyst

 Also looking for very strong digital skills (in excel, VBA, Python for example)

Technical Skills:

Minimum 3 years trade finance experience in commodity trading space

Must have good technical and practical knowledge of UCP 600 and ISP 98 and a full understanding of Letters of Credit (Documentary LC and SBLC for Import and Export), LC presentations, payments, negotiations and discounting, as well as bonds and guarantees and letters of indemnity.

Ability to prepare presentation of original shipping documents for payment under LC or on a collection basis

Good knowledge of Incoterms and transfer of title and risk for physical commodities

Understand basic implications of sanctions and foreign exchange on Letters of Credit

High attention to detail

Experienced with Microsoft Suite especially Excel, Outlook and MS Word as well as Power BI, other Power Apps and Salesforce

Behavioral skills:

Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously and prioritise in a fast-paced environment, while effectively managing risks with diligent execution

Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented and ability to complete tasks effectively in a timely manner

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions

Eagerness to learn from senior members of the team
