As part of the Digital, Data and Technology directorate, you will work closely with colleagues across the directorate, within the Solution Delivery function and alongside a number of other full-stack developers and test engineers. Our purpose is bold, confident and so is our proud commitment to represent the public interest.The Charity Commission regulates 170,000 charities across England and Wales ensuring that they work within a legal framework thus building public confidence that the £10bn generously donated is put to good use.DescriptionDesigns, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex programs/scripts/integrations, using their own judgment and using limited powers of discretion.Produce high quality software, following best practices and coding standards.Negotiating with Application Support & Service Delivery to ensure processes and integrations developed can be supported and maintained to the required level.Support agile delivery methods by: Collaborating in reviews of work with others as appropriate (Such as Sprint Reviews, Pair Programming, Retrospectives).Utilising User Centred Design and test & data driven iteration.Seeking and exchanging information with colleagues to resolve blockages-.Using knowledge of wider business objectives to shape the approach to technical solutions Ensure the efficient adoption of live software by business colleagues, users and the Application Support team through walk-throughs, training, guidance notes, advice-giving and other documentation.Ensure digital developments are delivered against industry standards (and frameworks) and adhered to the Commission's principles.Creates and documents designs for software applications or components applying agreed modelling techniques, standards, patterns and tools, adapting styles for the user.Makes recommendations to colleagues about the design of components of larger software systems.Continuous learning to improve their own capabilities across the full stack of technologies.Executes given test scripts under supervision.
