Operations Engineer London to £75k

Operations Engineer (Linux Unix Bash Python Networking HTTP). Hugely successful tech company that have revolutionised the way people find properties is seeking an Operations Engineer with strong networking skills to join their team.

As an Operations Engineer you'll be part of the operations team who are responsible for the core infrastructure and the availability of the company website. You'll be responsible for a range of networking tasks including switching, routing, load balancing and traffic management. This is an exciting time to join as there are a number of interesting projects in the pipeline within the team including a move to containerisation with Docker, implementation of a new virtualisation strategy and migrating legacy services to Linux.

The position is currently remote, however you'll be expected to work in the office 3 days a week once they reopen.

Requirements:

Strong Linux / Unix administration skills

Very experienced with networking including switching, routing, load balancing, traffic management and API gateways

Scripting skills either with Bash or Python

Networking security experience (Brocade, Juniper or Cisco)

Understanding of IT infrastructure components and best practises

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
