Fixed Income ION Platform Support and Project specialist - Investment Banking 

We are looking for an : ION -Marketview specialist, with Windows/UNIX, Networks, SQL, ECN connectivity. Desirable skills include :-Tibco RV, Bladelogic, ITRS / Geneos. Reuters, Bloomberg

Understanding of the electronic bond trading - market operations and business flows would be advantageous.

The Role:-

An experienced ION platform support specialist is required to join the Fixed Income AP Support team. Must be a high calibre graduate with ability to solve complex problems under pressure.

Extensive experience supporting electronic trading systems is required.

The team is responsible for supporting the ION platform globally for our Fixed Income products, which include rates, credit and emerging markets. Project work features heavily within this role.

1st priority is around BAU production support issues/user enquiries,  to establish a high level of quality for the production systems supporting the FI businesses.

Second focus is around the necessary project work required by external and internal stakeholders.

Mandated ECN / Exchange changes, new business requirements and up / down stream dependencies.

Areas include but not limited to:

In-house pricing application for Bonds and Swaps, algorithmic, trading components, STP, monitoring, alerting, connectivity and server build.

PERSONAL SKILLS

Must have drive, enthusiasm and be committed to work. Must be able to work with minimal

supervision and be able to use own initiative. They also need to be a strong team player. The ability

to deliver results quickly and under pressure is essential.

We are looking for someone who is analytical and able to solve complex problems and work to tight

deadlines.

The successful candidate will be expected to multi-task and to be able to prioritise work. Good time

management and co-ordination skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will be one that will drive the team forward with innovation and is proactive at

improving the current procedures and processes.
