Software / Data Engineer (Python Golang Cloud AWS ETL). Are you an experienced Software / Data Engineer looking for a technically challenging role where you'll be able to make a real impact as the first data engineering hire? You could be part of a talented team within a hugely successful company that are currently investing a lot into their technology.

Technology driven software house that provides a real-time data platform for the maritime industry is seeking a Software / Data Engineer to join their team. You'll be responsible for optimising the data pipelines and architecture and will support multiple teams, systems and products. Some of your duties will include; building out ETL pipelines, developing the infrastructure to support data extraction, transformation and loading and designing and implementing internal improvements to enhance data delivery and to automate manual processes.

This role is currently fully remote, however you will be expected to work in the London based offices 2 days a week from September. You can enjoy a comprehensive benefits package and a 10% bonus.

Requirements:

A Software / Data Engineer with strong software engineering capabilities

Good knowledge of Python or Golang (ideally) but must be happy using Golang going forward

Cloud experience (AWS ideally)

Experience dealing with large amounts of real-time data and building out ETL pipelines

Degree educated in Computer Science or similar 2:1 and above

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
