Jefferson Wells are recruiting for a Senior Sales Manager to join a global defence technology business in Malvern on a permanent basis. Focusing on the Optical Comm's sector, you will be responsible for building long term relationships with industry partners, to ensure rapid & profitable growth through selling C4ISR products & solutions to re-sellers and B2B partners in the defence sector.

This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a area that is seeing significant investment and is also at the forefront of national security & defence. Your role will focus on developing a go to market strategy through customer & stakeholder engagement, direct selling & developing a network of B2B partners.

What will I be doing?Developing opportunities in the business's optical communication's portfolioDevelopment of go to market strategy & sales of Navigation satellite systemsManaging sales across specific portfolio including decision point reviews, delivering within business winning budgets & accurate pipeline date & forecastsIdentify & close new business salesCoaching & mentoring project management teams to increase sales potential through up-selling

What are we looking for?Previous experience in the comm's/defence sector would be an advantageExperience of product and technology solution sales, with both direct & indirect channelsStrong negotiation skills at a senior level, both internally & externallyGood relationship management experience/skills & ability to prioritise with conflicting tasksCoaching, facilitation & consultancy skills with track record of influence at all levelsStrong coaching, facilitation and consultancy skills with a proven track record of being able to influence at all levelsExperience of working with C4ISR products is highly desirable, but not essential
