Our purpose is bold, confident and so is our proud commitment to represent the public interest.The Charity Commission regulates 170,000 charities across England and Wales ensuring that they work within a legal framework thus building public confidence that the £10bn generously donated is put to good use.DescriptionAscertain the use of data from various sources to ensure that data items collected are for the intended purpose and used for that purpose. This will include leading the review of data validation exercises, audits and reviewing data models.Review and analyse the use of all data based on the outputs from the Information Asset Register and benefits Questionnaires conducted by the PB4 post holders in the Team in conjunction with the Data Catalog exercises working with the Data Analytics Team to compare data sets and look for and recommend innovative ways of working with data to increase the organisation's flexibility in the use of its data with support from the Head of Data GovernanceUnderstand the needs of the Intelligence Team and corporate functions as the recipient of data ensuring that Data Quality assessments are reviewed by the Governance Team and recommend and monitor improvements with those teams as the organisation becomes more data driven through data analysis, and modelling.Develop and roll out Data Governance standards, documenting and evidencing adoption of requirements across all Departments working towards an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Data Governance Toolkit.Review audits and produce reports to mitigate risks through recommendations in action plans.Act as an effective and proactive conduit between the business areas and DDaT to ensure that data related business standards are clearly defined, communicated and well understood. This in turn will support the requirements gathering carried out that will be considered as part of innovation then prioritised as part of the DDaT planning process sometimes needing to work with people who do not understand data requirements.Work with the Data Analytics Team to develop and implement best practices for data modelling and analysis, working closely with all key stakeholders across the business to guide the implementation of end-to-end data solutions ensuring that data standards are maintained. Facilitate Data Governance meetings ensuring there is engagement from key stakeholders that will include Information Asset Owners and Data Stewards.
