You'll be responsible for a team of engineers and testers that are working on one of the largest payroll platforms in the UK. You'll be making sure the team have the right tools and skills to succeed, coaching & guiding team members along the way.
You will operate as part of the wider leadership team, looking for new ways for the team to work effectively and continue to deliver a world-class piece of software.
You'll need to understand building apps in the cloud, but more importantly understand how having the right people doing the right thing is the key.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Adheres to and drives team adherence to development processes.
Partakes and drives participation in Agile processes.
Analyses, architects and develops new products/features.
Conducts code reviews, systems and unit testing.
Compiles and maintains technical documentation.
Coaches and mentors other developers.
Owns technical relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensures good communication and escalation practices are adhered to.
Performs 1x1 catch-ups with team and reviews their performance contributions.
