Reporting to the IT Director you will be responsible for all IT hardware across the organisation, including manufacturing, as well as being responsible for all infrastructure security matters, including WAN and LAN, disaster recovery planning and capacity planning (hardware only).Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnered with this global organisation to support on the recruitment of a Senior Network Engineer.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing:Reporting to the IT Director you will be responsible for all IT hardware across the organisation, including manufacturing, as well as being responsible for all infrastructure security matters, including WAN and LAN, disaster recovery planning and capacity planning (hardware only).Responsibilities:Take collective responsibility for delivery of the IT strategy.To work with the IT Director in designing an infrastructure platform capable of supporting the needs of the business as defined within the Service Catalogue.To lead on the delivery and maintenance of all security matters (including Network Security) as defined in the IT Operations manual.To become the single point of control for routers, servers, PCs, printers, and other equipment including all tools and services required to support the Service Catalogue and to be responsible for their effective operation.To lead on the design and delivery of credible DR plans for all services identified within the Service Catalogue.Develop and maintain a holistic knowledge of systems described in the Service Catalogue interact with each other from a hardware perspective.Proactively investigate how best to optimise the IT landscape and to formally present any solutions to the IT Director.To work closely with the Network Manager to ensure that both networks (WANs and LANs) operate seamlessly together.Manage the day-to-day performance of the IT Infrastructure Team.To become the authorising person for all infrastructure changes.ProfileKey Skills & Responsibilities:This is a a key leadership position for this organisation and as such experience in managing a corporate infrastructure is essential. A proven track record in a similar role, supporting and maintaining corporate Wintel infrastructure within a datacentre environment is desirable.It is essential that you have experience/an understanding of:Windows Server management. MCSA / MCSE certification highly desirable.Microsoft AD/DNS/DHCP/WSUS/DFS/File & PrintLAN, WAN, switching & routing, firewall, load balancers, WIFI.IISPowerShellSCCMMcAfee Anti-VirusHYPER-V/VMWareSolarWindsITIL certification highly desirable.Office 365 & Exchange Sync ServerMonitoring Infrastructure and system alertsYou should have a proven background in backup systems.
