To enable us to meet the ever-increasing demand for our services, we are searching for the next Senior Delivery Manager, who will thrive in this changing environment and is motivated by delivering excellent customer service.

We fulfil our mission with our suite of core products:

Linguaskill: our online, adaptive test using the latest automarking technology. The test can be delivered with remote proctoring. The roadmap for Linguaskill will see some exciting product changes in the coming months.

Empower: a learning-oriented assessment offering.

Benchmarking: As well as other benchmarking projects, our team is producing the test content for the first foreign language assessment in the PISA test. Our team is also writing the assessment framework that will be used to assess foreign language (not just English) proficiency in the years to come to benchmark the level of 15-year-olds globally.

The Senior Product Delivery Manager will be working closely with the other Delivery Team members who are responsible for other operational areas such as marking, results, customer onboarding and training. The Senior Product Delivery Manager (Data & Reporting) will influence the running and continuous improvement of the products by using data insights to shape commercial and operational strategies and processes.  

What you'll be doing

Identifying areas across the product teams where Data Science insights can be applied

Helping establish team goals and work with multiple stakeholders on strategies for delivery, measuring progress, and reporting results

Analyse and report key performance indicators highlighting important customer behaviours

Process map key strategic areas and carry out detailed costings and reporting to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement

Clearly present audience-appropriate answers to complicated business questions

Collaborate within your team, the wider business, and with external contractors to acquire new information and share results. You will rely heavily on your interpersonal skills to bring projects to fulfilment.

Work independently to develop and test hypothesis that influence commercial decisions and crucial operational processes

Training and supporting customers for operational delivery of large volume sessions

What we're looking for

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who is able to see the bigger picture and is looking to be part of the future of digital assessment. They should have experience of influencing senior stakeholders and challenging the status quo to improve commercial and operational delivery of products.

Skills and Behaviours

Relentless commitment to delivering excellent customer service for our learners and stakeholders

Excellent data management and interpretation skills to influence commercial and operational decision-making, and product strategies

The ability to construct a narrative around the data to explain your data, models, and thought process to non-technical audiences on a regular basis

Proficient programming skills with common data science languages and technologies (Python, R), experience with SQL

Sophisticated interpersonal and people skills

Strong commercial acumen and awareness

Highly developed sense of urgency with excellent prioritising and planning skills

Very high standard of spoken and written English

Experience of defining, creating and reporting Key Performance Indicators to drive product growth

Role-modelling Cambridge Assessment values of Collaboration, Responsibility and Innovation

Experience

Industry experience in a consumer-oriented product environment

Working in cross-functional teams in formal or informal leadership roles

Using Data to influence decision making and problem solving in commercial, strategic and operational areas

Supporting and engaging directly with customers to solve painpoints

Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and teams to achieve positive outcomes

Managing multiple work processes and procedures

Experience supporting systems development, testing and implementation

Note that specific assessment or education experience is not essential, and we would welcome relevant experience from other industries.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or relevant experience in industry
