Python Developer Oxford / WfH to £75k

Python Developer / Junior Software Engineer (Python R Algorithm) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you a data savvy Python Developer with a strong academic background?

You could be working on intellectually and technically challenging projects within an R&D type environment that encourages knowledge sharing, continual learning and close collaboration at an Oxford based software house

As a Python Developer you will design and develop core components of their flagship product used by the energy sector to model fluid dynamics (e.g. oil reservoirs). Typically you will deploy new and existing scientific algorithms as scalable cloud native services; you'll have exposure to the full software development lifecycle and product design discussions, participating in peer code reviews and collaboratively problem solving within an R&D environment. 

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the Oxford office for 2-3 days a week (parking available).

Requirements:

You're degree educated having achieved a 2.1 or above, ideally in Computer Science, from a top tier university - likely to have studied to MSc / PhD level

You have experience of scientific programming in Python and R

You have experience of implementing algorithms as described in mathematical literature

You enjoy collaboratively problem solving, are naturally inquisitive and keen to learn
