As programme manager you will be accountable for delivery of the programme, with support from the Head of Digital and the CIO. This role forms part of our emerging Digital team and as such not only will you have a unique opportunity to help shape how NHS Resolution works in the future, both in working with our wider organisation as well as working with modern technology, but you will also have the opportunity to help guide and shape our emerging team.Client DetailsNHS Resolution is an arm's-length body of the Department of Health and Social Care. We provide expertise to the NHS on resolving concerns and disputes fairly, sharing learning for improvement and preserving resources for patient care. We are currently going through an exciting IT transformation led by the organisation's Chief Information Officer. The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate, (DDaT) is an exciting high performing function with a challenging programme of work and a department structure aimed at progression, development and high operational and strategic outputs. As a result we are looking for talented DDaT professionals to join us on this journey.Descriptionwork with others to support in the discovery and scoping of the programme and underlying programme planmanage dependencies of varying complexity, planning and feeding into larger programmes and portfoliosremove blockers and manage risks, commercials, budgets and peoplebalance objectives and can redeploy people and resources as priorities changehave an in-depth knowledge of complex technology deliverybe responsible for understanding, managing and communicating to complex stakeholder groups, balancing prioritiesbe the initial escalation point for the programme and must have an awareness of the bigger picturesupport, colleagues from across the organisation who are taking up the role of Product Owners or who are inputting in to the programme as valued SME'swork very closely with our selected integration partner enabling them to support us in the delivery of this workeffectively champion and support change processes and toolssupport in the management of financial and commercial controls with colleagues from procurement and financework with the head of digital in building out a wider team to support you in delivering the programme.ProfileSkills and abilitiesAbility to deliver major IT & business change projects within a complex, constantly changing environment while being confident and capable under pressure.Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver results.Strong management and team working skills, including a proven ability to set goals and manage change effectively, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to draft/review highly complex and detailed plans/reports with minimal supervision from senior staff, with the ability to take into account wider policy and strategic issues.Good understanding of a range of project and business improvement methodologies and toolsExperienceExperience of working in the design and implementation of critical line of business applications (For example case, document and contact management solutions).Experience in working with, coaching and development of team members responsible for delivering sub project / work streams as part of a complex programme of work.Experience of successfully leading and delivering technology focused programmes that include implementing new technology solutions that impact multiple business areas.Understanding of all stages of a digital service lifecycle including experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, effectively managing resources and competing demands, establishing and operating within a defined change governance framework, working with third party suppliers, and delivering the intended outcomes/benefits on time and within budget whilst meeting NHS service standard.Experience of successfully managing risks and issues within a complex programme environment.Knowledge and understandingGood understanding of NHS Resolution, its strategic aims and service users.A broad knowledge of project management methodologies, including agile. Job OfferFlexible working with commitment to travel to London or Leeds a minimum 1 day per week / 4 days per monthSalary of £53,168- £62,001 (plus London Weighting of £6890)
