DevOps Engineer / SecOps Engineer Guildford to £65k

DevOps Engineer / SecOps Engineer (CI/CD Jira Confluence Jenkins Bash Cloud). Award winning prop-tech start-up that have created a platform that provides housing development reviews is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team. The company have just received £8 million in funding and are showing continuous success and growth, having now branched out to 11 UK cities. This is a small company (20 people in total) that is only just beginning to bring their tech in-house, making this a fantastic opportunity for you to make your mark and have a real impact on the continued success of this start-up.

As a DevOps Engineer you'll be one of the first tech hires within the business as the company had previously outsourced all of their software development. You'll play a key role within the development team by ensuring the smooth running of the company platform utilising a range of technologies including Jira, Confluence, Bash and more. This role will also involve InfoSec / SecOps, monitoring and penetration testing type work alongside your DevOps duties including influencing the continuous improvement of deployment pipelines and ensuring the stability of the infrastructure and systems.

The company is based in Guildford, a short walk from the train station. This role offers a hybrid working model allowing you to work from home 2 - 3 days a week.

Requirements:

Previous experience within a DevOps Engineer / SecOps Engineer role

Strong knowledge of InfoSec, penetration testing and best security practises

Good knowledge of Cloud technologies (ideally Cloudflare CDN and DigitalOcean)

Scripting skills using Bash

Good knowledge of Linux OS

Experience with tools including JIRA and Confluence

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Ideally degree educated in computer science or similar
