Senior IT Service Manager A leading online organisation who are going through a period of significant expansion are looking to hire a Senior Service Manager, a key position within an international division of an organisation who operate world-renowned software platforms at scale.Building and leading a team of Service Managers, the Senior Service Manager will provide guidance to leaders and stakeholders across the organisation and will be responsible for shaping service strategies, operations and continuous service improvements. You will have responsibility for teams covering one or more disciplines/functions, these could include (one or more depending on your experience): Major Incident Management, Problem Management, Change and Release Management, Configuration Management, Vendor Management, Service Transition. A confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate will ideally currently be working in a similar capacity, leading service teams in a progressive enterprise environment. You should ideally have knowledge of and be willing to embrace Agile and DevOps principles, as your teams make regular deployments in to live environments.Key Responsibilities / What we're looking for:Experience leading, coaching and mentoring team members, supporting and developing them and their careers.Operational planning and prioritising multiple work streamsTake a leading role in risk management, service assurance including disaster recovery, security and forecasting analysis (note this is not a technical position and so technical knowledge around security, for example, is not required)Drive service improvement initiatives and lead on service reviews.Manage vendor / supplier relationshipsThis is a dynamic, fast paced, collaborative and transparent environment.
