This role is a varied, interesting and exciting one which will suit a quantitatively-minded finance professional, with strong attention to detail and a pro-active, can-do attitude. You will be one of the System development SMEs for the Bank with QRM specialty, and once up to speed, will be responsible for developing and implementing models in QRM system and making changes and fixes as they arise. The system underpins a number Finance's activities (incl. ALM, Regulatory Reporting, Hedge Accounting and Forecasting), so you will quickly become expert on the components of the group's balance sheet. In particular, you will own the implementations of the financial models used within QRM for areas such as Liquidity, FTP, Market Risk, Prepayment, Deposit Retention and Inflows, as well as understanding how the entire system is implemented. You will also be responsible for:Being one of the bank's QRM SMEs - a go-to person for any QRM queries on feasibility, best practice and designContributing to or owning aspects of QRM development - requirements gathering, design and build, UAT, project management, governance and documentationTraining and assisting other advanced QRM users internally - how to get the best from the system, as well as explaining the inner workings where necessaryBuilding strong working relationships with all QRM stakeholders, from daily users to senior managementContributing to model and data validation, development and design within the wider teamBeing an important member of the modelling and analytics team - occasionally working on other projects which utilize your skills and interests outside QRMYou will report into the Head of Modelling and AnalyticsProfileFinance Modeller - QRM - Retail Banking

A high level of expertise with QRM or similar ALM systems, with demonstrable experience in developing in a professional capacityKnowledge and experience of ALM and Balance Sheet ManagementExperience within Financial Services in a similar role, preferably at a retail bank/building society, whether as a consultant, contractor or in-houseExcellent communication skillsStrong attention to detail, pro-active, can-do attitude and team playerHighly numerate with a good grounding in STEM subjectsAn undergraduate STEM degree or MSC would be preferred Job OfferA basic salary of up to £75,000 plus excellent company benefits.
