AWS Solution ArchitectRemote work6 months initially£700-£750 per dayInside IR35 Responsibilities will include: Solutions architecture design for AWS platform servicesReviewing implementation of platform services to ensure alignment against designLeading the development of global AWS architecture patterns, blueprints and standardsWorking closely with security and compliance teams in the development of patterns and solutionsLeading the architecture governance approvals for new AWS servicesMaintain a view of the AWS roadmap and review changes made by Amazon to understand the impact to HSBC hosted servicesResearch and development of new cloud services to improve performance, security and efficiency of AWS hosted servicesMaintaining a Global AWS Service Catalogue which shows the approval status of AWS servicesReviewing Global Business/Function project designs to ensure alignment against globally defined patterns, blueprints and standardsProviding architectural approval for new projects onboarding to AWSRepresent the GCS AWS team in global architecture forumsProviding ad-hoc consultancy where required to projects using AWS infrastructure The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications: Experience of working as a Lead DevOps engineer or an AWS Solutions ArchitectDemonstrable experience working with AWS in an engineering or architecture capacityDemonstrable experience of designing AWS solutions using a combination of cloud native, 3rd party and on-premise technologiesDemonstrable experience of infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, databases (e.g. RDS, DynamoDB) and VPC configurationsDemonstrable experience of designing cloud networks (VPC & subnets)Demonstrable experience of facilitating solution design workshopsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical detail with business stakeholdersEssential Skills: Min 4 years demonstrable experience working with AWS in an engineering or architecture capacityMin 2 years experience working as a Lead DevOps engineer or an AWS Solutions ArchitectExperience of developing Solutions architecture designs in tools such as MS Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io etc.Experience of working in an Agile and DevOps environmentExperience of building and implementing enterprise-wide architecture principles, standards, blueprints and patterns Desirable Skills: AWS Certifications - Solutions ArchitectureEnterprise architecture qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, ZachMann)
