As the Global Head of Data Engineering you will lead a growing team, working with Enterprise to establish the tools, standards and best practice for Data Engineering globally that can be replicated across markets. You will also work closely with Architecture on Governance, Data Lakes and establishing Data as a Platform. Thinking Globally to deliver locally.Client DetailsOur client is a Global CPG Organisation investing heavily in an ambitious Data & Analytics journey. They are looking to empower their people with the most accurate, real time and impactful data and cutting edge, business intelligence solutions.DescriptionAbout Your Role:Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to set the stand for tools, code, training and Data Engineering globally.Establish best practice for your division and create a Data Engineering community to share knowledge and support each other.Support Proof of Concept and Pilot programmes.Create Data Engineering models and blueprints that can be replicated across markets.

Continue to build relationships with key partners (Microsoft for instance) and establish Subject Matter Expects within markets to grow technical expertise.

Assess the viability of Data Engineering "Hubs" in multiple locations globally to support local teams.

Work with Architecture to support Governance, Quality, Resources, Data, Formats, Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.

Continue to view Data as an asset and a platform to be valued and invested in.

Coach and mentor your team and advise the business on the skills required for your growing team.ProfileAbout You:

The ideal candidate will be a well rounded Data Engineering and Architecture professional who understands how to provide impacts from data across a business.

You will ideally have a technical background in Data Engineering with exposure to designing Architecture in the Cloud, who enjoys being hands on to a degree.

You will be passionate about growing talent and understand what drives performance, how to provide solutions and a financial acumen regarding data.

It would be a distinct advantage if you have worked with vendors and 3rd parties and have a technical intimacy with Microsoft Azure, Data Bricks and Microsoft Data Tools.Job OfferA competitive salary is available and your requirements can be discussed on application.
