PLM Engineer expert in Siemens PLM TeamCenter and NX software configuration and implementation with experience of eQube.

Job Description

IT Engineer to work within the PLM technical team to deliver a variety of engineering projects, to support the design, development and delivery of COTS Applications Integration being rolled out across various design and manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive, self-starting nature with a can do attitude. The candidate should also be innovative in their approach and use of tools and methodologies.

Duties will include system build, application configuration, implementation and post live support,

Day to Day Responsibilities

Report to Project Management team on progress of work packages, specifically working on the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) projects.

Report To PLM Architect for Technical guidance and approval.

System development and packaging of system change definitions for the Client Engineering systems.

Provide technical input to Project Management work plans.

*Create deployment packages that will take system design through to system go-live including:

*Creation of technical build documentation.

*Creation of system deployment packages and package maintenance within the agreed configuration management tool.

*Creation and maintenance of Integration and Customer test environments.

Monitors and ensures resolutions of performance issues.

Interfaces with support groups and production problems and technical concerns.

Useful but not essential experience:

Wider technical knowledge of servers Unix and windows

Microsoft Office

Network security

Virtualisation technology

Firewalls

Code distribution

Change management

Other desirable skills and knowledge:

I.T. architecture

Export control compliancy

Candidate Requirements

Top 3 must-have HARD/TECHNICAL skills

*Depth of experience with each

Previous implementation experience of Siemens PLM and NX software (Teamcenter 12).

Good understanding of UNIX (commands and scripts)

Good understanding of Windows environment

An understanding of Web Server technology.

Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative.

Experience of working in a demanding environment

Good communication skills

Can be M.O.D. Cleared to S.C. Level

Experience of eCube

Web Server (Weblogic)

Basic network architecture

Database knowledge (Oracle, SQL server)
