System Engineer Linux

For one of our customers in the public sector, we are looking for a linux system engineer

Start date: asap

Contract: 100 days

Fluent French mandatory

Purpose of the mission:

* Daily monitoring of the Linux IT infrastructure and technical support for internal projects

* Take charge of the installation, configuration, updates, administration, and monitoring of servers within the operational ICT environment as well as change and incident management.

Mission: Specialized Linux support

* Maintain the system from the operational technical IT environment;

* Supervise the optimal functioning of the monitoring tools of the system under his responsibility;

* Development of rules for using system monitoring tools, in accordance with company norms and standards and in compliance with service contracts;

* Ensure the evolutionary and corrective maintenance of the systems in order to guarantee the durability of the IT infrastructure and its components and to ensure that it can meet new needs;

* Ensure the monitoring of the computer park (for example: verification of backups, alert thresholds, precise adjustment), detect irregularities, resolve them and report them;

* Perform backup and recovery procedures;

* Ensure the monitoring of resources;

* Monitor and analyze the performance of the systems (alert thresholds, tuning) and implement measures likely to improve them and report on them;

* Ensure the production of the IBM Spectrum Scale extension by adding new nodes.

Expected deliverables:

* Linux ticket resolution: Changes / incidents / service requests

* New infra Spectrum Scale release

* Red Hat GlusterFS support

* Red Hat Satellite support

* IBM Spectrum Scale support
