Location: Stevenage

Duration: 12 months

Rate: £11 - £14/hour PAYE

Our customers undertake life-saving activities. These range from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, biologic drugs, and novel cell and gene therapies. Our job is to supply the tools and services - the pots, pans, soups and sauces - they need to work better, faster and safer, leading to better patient outcomes.

We are looking for a Research Technician to work with our expert Chemistry team with employees across the world. Do you have a passion for developing the next generation of purification technology? Then we would love to hear from you.

What you'll do:Responsible for supporting various surface chemistry and analytics used in the production of new membrane materials.Write reports and submit data generated from various analytical methods.Work closely with a cross-disciplinary R&D team of Biologists, Chemists, Engineers and Material Scientists to support process development activities.Provide support to ensure laboratory compliance to Environment Health & Safety regulationsBe responsible for executing workload from multiple projects.Learn to operate systems including GC-MS, UV-vis and Raman SpectroscopyWill be responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout preparation of stock solutions of reagents and buffersReport out results to the wider chemistry team in a clear and thorough way.
