The role is designed to ensure that their clients IT requirements are satisfied; this includes development, supporting, configuring, and maintaining all IT related products and services that the client has.
Duties:
- Provide offsite/onsite support Technical Assistance/Testing and Installation of software and hardware
- Answer incoming helpdesk phone calls and provide support over the phone
- Provide Remote Support from work and occasionally from home i.e. Server restart out of hours
- Ensure that you keep abreast of new technologies and sharing with the team
- Ensure that your days' activities are tracked using the Technical Support System
- Updating Technical System to keep colleagues up to date with your progress on a job and help build a knowledge base
- Dispatching of goods via delivery company where applicable
- The occasional carrying of equipment may be necessary
- Occasional weekend working
Technical Skills Expected:
- Client Operating Systems: Windows 10/Mac
- Support Office 365 Applications and diagnosing issues within each application
Networking Technologies:
- Design of Network Diagrams to a high level
- Router management and configuration for NAT , Access and WAN
- DNS/ DHCP, Firewalls & VPN, DNS, Active Directory, Security & Auditing, ADFS & Directory Sync setup
Server Experience:
- Server 2019/2016/2012
- Maintenance of server for updates, and installation of new software
- Build, configure and deploy features and services such as a file, printer, and VPN services
- Azure/AWS experience setup servers/resources and linking with site-to-site VPN
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering professional and knowledgeable client support respecting agreed SLA's bringing resolution to issues in a timely fashion. They are looking for motivated, ambitious, and technically skilled support engineers to join this successful helpdesk team
The Person:
- You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in an L2 or L3 support role and MSP environment
- You will have MCP or IT related qualifications and certifications
- Hand on experience and an understanding of switching, firewalls, routers, VLANs and wireless APs are desirable
- Experience with Windows Server and cloud virtualisation
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy/Intune
- Experience in the use of various backup solutions for cloud services
- Have excellent written documentation skills and strong verbal communication skills
