IT Capacity Manager - Liverpool/Leeds/SheffieldHugely exciting role for a Capacity Manager who wants to help shape a new function, within an evolving IT Services department of this major Public Sector organisation. Client DetailsThe client are a UK government body who are in the process of bringing their IT services back in house. They can offer flexible working arrangements, including remote working with travel to a local office once per fortnight (Liverpool, Leeds or Sheffield). This is a hugely exciting time to be coming on board as they take this important step to better equip their IT capability. DescriptionIT Capacity Manager - Liverpool/Leeds/SheffieldIn this role you will eventually have line management responsibility for a Capacity Analyst, but previous people management experience is not essential. * Lead the Capacity Management Function and manage direct reports

* Be responsible for the production and analysis of a comprehensive suite of capacity management reports from across the Technical Operations function.

* Develop the analysis of Business, Service and Component Capacity Reports to identify areas of risk due to under-capacity and over-capacity.

* Develop recommendations in a timely fashion to mitigate the risks of under- and over-capacity.

* Engage with senior stakeholders on workforce planning to ensure that the numbers of potential users is forecast and capacity thresholds can be determined.

* Engage with senior stakeholders on business planning, to ensure that business plans can be accommodated within the existing IT estate without undue risk from under or over-capacity

* Develop a suite of reports that can support business cases for the mitigation of capacity risks ProfileThis role has been newly created within the organisation, so they are looking for a proactive individual who can take ownership of the Capacity function and help shape it moving forward.Key experience:* Experience of Capacity Management

* Excellent oral and written communications
