Environments Manager - Retail / eCommerce

We are looking for an experienced Environments Manager ideally with Retail/eCommerce industry exposure to join an extremely successful eCommerce retail organisation in Manchester.

The Environments Manager will be responsible for the provisioning of all software development, testing and production environments. You will report to the Supplier Delivery Manager and will liaise closely with various technical teams such as support, project, dev and test.

Key experience required:

* Excellent understanding of Technical IT Environment Management planning, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures.
* Strong commercial awareness including 3rd party supplier and software licencing implications associated with environment provisioning and support.
* Whole project lifecycle experience, working with Project Managers from initial conceptual design to testing and deployment into live.
* Thorough understanding of ITIL Processes, specifically Change Management, Release Management and Configuration Management
* Exposure to automated deployment and configuration tools
* Previous experience in retail/eCommerce environments highly advantageous.
* Highly organised, able to work in a fast-paced environment and plan/manage time accordingly.
* Strong facilitation and influencing skills.
* Confidence, experience and knowledge to question stakeholders and delivery teams.
* Strong knowledge of methodologies across the whole software development lifecycle, including continuous delivery techniques.
* Whole project lifecycle experience, working with Project Managers from initial conceptual design to testing and deployment into live.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills - delivering and communicating plans effectively, with the ability to balance the requirements of multiple stakeholders.
* Ability to demonstrate decision making skills whilst also able to work collaboratively across teams.
* Proven problem-solving skills that demonstrate a methodical and analytical approach.
