Configuration Manager - £35k - £40k DOE

Inverness

Security Clearance Requirement: SC Cleared or Willing to undergo clearance

We are currently assisting this prestigious IT organisation in the recruitment of a Configuration Manager to oversee the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) lifecycle of all assets and configuration items within a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

The successful candidate will work on-site in Inverness to support the service delivery teams.

Skills/Experience:

*Knowledge of computer systems, integration and architecture concepts

*Analytical/reporting techniques supported by understanding of statistics and quality management concepts

*Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

*Strong customer communication skills

*Ability to develop training material, schedule and facilitate training sessions for internal and external resources

*ITIL v4 Foundation (desirable)

Role overview:

*Ensure the delivery of the SACM service for a medium size account

*Ensure registration of new assets and configuration items (CIs)

*Support the service delivery teams to make sure the prescribed processes are being followed and that all updates are maintained in a timely and accurate manner

*Follow and champion SACM process & technology standards

*Audit the CMDB as planned to ensure accuracy, proactively identifying discrepancies and driving same to closure to maintain accuracy of the CMDB.

*Highlighting errors in customer CI's and relationships within the CMDB

*Managing contract related information associated with the hardware assets including master lease and lease schedules, asset warranty and maintenance terms.
