ROLE - Junior Desktop Support AnalystLOCATION - Southwest London
SALARY - £22,000 - £25,000
A leading software specialist organisation based in Southwest London are actively looking for a Junior Desktop Support Analyst to join their internal Technology department on a permanent basis. Providing software as a service (SaaS) solutions to organisations within a wide range of organisations and applications the company boast over 30 years of experience in their field. This Junior Desktop Support Analyst role will develop IT skills and experience in a varied and challenging IT Support role where you provide a range of desktop support services to internal staff.
Reporting to the Senior Desktop Support Analyst you will join a skilled service desk function with a primary focus on providing desktop support as well as assisting with first & second line support issues.
The Junior Desktop Support Analyst will ideally have the following skills/experience:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal staff members of all levelsA good understanding of Microsoft operating systems (particularly Windows 10)A basic understanding of hardware technology and network protocolsPrevious experience in a similar IT Support/Service Desk roleStrong customer service skillsStrong planning, organisational and documentation skillsActive Directory & Group Policy (beneficial)
It would be a distinct advantage to have experience with Microsoft Teams, Jira, Confluence, MacOS or Office 365 technologies.
The Junior Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for:
Carrying out laptop buildsReceiving and logging support queriesAssisting in the management of incidents & requestsProvide remote access supportUpdating ticket logs and service desk documentationCarrying out 1st & 2nd line BAU support to internal usersInstalling software & imaging laptopsUser administration
