As part of this recruitment drive, we are currently looking for a Lead Infrastructure Operations Engineer to be based in Leeds.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing?As Lead Infrastructure Operations Engineer you will manage the IT infrastructure, ensuring that technologies remain available, performant to SLAs/OLAs and relevant to business requirements. The role will deliver upgrades to technologies, implement new functionality and seeking to continuously improve the technologies to support the organisation in better ways.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Infrastructure Operations team, comprising data centre services, network services and end user computing servicesPlan, budget and account for the Infrastructure Operations Team's workSupport the business case submission, planning, management and delivery of programmes and projects that deliver and require infrastructure operation activitiesContinuously monitor and operate data centre, end user computing and data centre technologies (on-premise, PaaS, IaaS and SaaS)Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues before they impact the user/customerDeliver Incident Management, diagnosing the root causes of incidents, developing work arounds and fixes, to return infrastructure and users to an operational conditionDeliver Problem Management, diagnosing root causes of problems, prioritising maintenance activity and developing fixesDeliver Change Management, continuously seeking to improve technologies, promoting unused functionality and working with users to develop new ways of workingDeliver Capacity Management, continuously monitoring the utilisation of the infrastructure and forecasting when capacity levels will be breached, recommending remedial actions to be taken.Ensure the security of technologies and the IT estate, defending against cyber-attack, preventing unauthorised access, unauthorised data exchange and data-lossProfileKey Skills & Experience:Level 3 Service Management framework qualificationProven experience of managing infrastructure teamsProven experience of planning and executing changes to infrastructureGood communication skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft OfficeLeadershipChanging and ImprovingMaking Effective DecisionsJob OfferSalary:£53,000Additional Benefits:27% Pension Contribution
