As part of this recruitment drive, we are currently looking for a Head of Technical Operations to be based in Liverpool.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing?Lead and manage the Technical Operations team to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of the companies IT estate and the delivery of technical operations processes that support the business. Manage teams and outsourced suppliers to ensure the effective operation of three Data Centres (Hosting), End User Computing, Application Operations and Network Infrastructure technologies and services to support the daily work of the business.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Technical Operations team to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of the IT estate and the delivery of technical operations processes that support the business.Manage teams and outsourced suppliers to ensure the effective operation of three Data Centres (Hosting), End User Computing, Application Operations and Network Infrastructure technologies and services to support the daily work of the business.Support the design and transformation of technology services to cloud-based servicesSupport major change programmes in the establishment and operation of Development, Test, Staging and Production environment both on-premise and in the public-cloud.Support the development of a Development Operations (DevOps) capability.Manage the delivery of 2nd and 3rd Line Support on the IT estate (technologies and core business applications), ensuring that effective Incident and Problem Management leads to solutions and swift Return to Service for business users.Design, document, establish, operate and be accountable for the delivery and execution of Technology Operation processes.Develop and maintain the IT Budget and Forecast, accounting for expenditure and the rolling plan for the refresh of technologies.Plan, budget and account for the Technical Operations Team's work.Ensure that all IT assets are documented, tracked, identifiable by location and user, and all audit requirements supported, and the AMDB and CMDB are accurate and reliable.Managed Privilege User Access to IT estate, ensuring administration is conducted in a secure mannerEnsure the security of the IT estate.Manage, operate and assure all IT Assets and deliver a change programme to meet IT Asset Lifecycle requirements definition, including requirements development, procurement, operation and disposal.Develop, test and continuously review the IT Services Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.Support the development of the IT Strategy and IT Enterprise Architecture.ProfileKey Skills & Experience:Good communication skills.Previous experience in a similar IT leadership type role.Strong management skills to deliver a first-class IT service to the company.Proven experience of managing IT, delivering projects together with service and supplier management.Enthusiasm to champion the use of IT throughout the company.Technical experience/technical background across IT Infrastructure would be advantageous.Ability to think and act strategically to deliver practical, innovative and creative solutions to the management of business issues.Broad knowledge of a range of IT Security technology solutionsExperience of achieving ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS certification

Job OfferSalary:£65,000 per annum27% pension employer contribution25 days, increasing to 30 days after 5 yearsThe option to work occasionally from homeFlexible working patterns (role dependent)
