We are searching for a remote-based Technical Project Manager for an initial 3-month contract which is highly likely to extend for a significant period of time (Inside IR35).You will be required to manage the successful completion of a number of complex internal and external customer facing projects using our clients Technology & Information Services project teams which are made up of both internal and external resources.You will play a key role in supporting the Product Management and Information Security teams, helping develop business requirements and security improvements.The projects/programmes managed will be creating either new applications, completing enhancements on existing products or remediating security vulnerabilities, followed by roll-out to external and internal customers.The initial projects are focused on Data Engineering and Data Architecture, using both Iterative Waterfall and Agile methodologies, as appropriate, based on the project size and type. During delivery significant internal and external senior customer interaction will be required.The Technical Project Manager is expected to support the Product Management / Information Security (InfoSec) teams in the production of appropriate levels of documentation to obtain customer or stakeholder signoff.You will also carry out, where and when appropriate, design to a functional specification level that can be used to provide direction to the project teams.Key Deliverables: To deliver the project/programme to proposed timescales, budgets and quality.To task manage the project team (including Project Managers where applicable) during the full development cycle through requirements gathering, analysis of requirements, design, build, testing and deployment.To define, promote and follow good project/programme management practice, implementing and refining appropriate methodologies when required, covering planning, reporting, risks and issues management, contingency planning as appropriate and all project/programme communication.To agree realistic timescales and delivery dates with the project/programme sponsor and to manage scope and schedule.To liaise with external organisations and consultants with whom a business relationship has been developed for projects/programmes, including negotiations with external clients, data suppliers, etc. as appropriate.

Key SkillsProject Management skills, previously been responsible for the delivery of either a large programme or for multiple individual projects.Highly effective communicator, able to liaise with both customers and suppliers and represent the company to a senior external audience using a range of tools.Ability to identify, isolate and resolve complex problems within the context of the project/programme deliverables.Has a key focus on identifying and progressing innovative opportunities.Demonstrate a pragmatic and flexible approach and be able to work under the pressure of challenging timelines.This role can be predominately home-based if required or you can work in a hybrid fashion, combining some home-based working with some office-based work, to be carried out either at offices located in Exeter or Reading, whichever location is best for you - the client is very flexible about work location!
