We're now looking for a User experience Designer to join our team in London for a 12 month, fixed term contract.

We do great work with pets; rehoming, supporting owners and rescues amongst others, however, to support our work and to help rehome pets, we need to actively engage with our audiences and create useable digital products to aid this. Your role will be vital to this element of our activities, supporting us to gain supporters, communicate our message and deliver on our mission and commitments.

What's more, you'll discover an environment filled with animal lovers where we all work together for the welfare of pets and the betterment of the lives of the pets we support.

The Role

As a User Experience Designer, you‘ll be adding the creative touches to our digital output, ensuring everything we do places the audience at the front and centre.

Leading digital user research and user experience design, you'll focus on research and usability testing to make sure our digital experiences are best-in-class and work for our audiences.

This varied and engaging role will see you working as part of the Digital Team, carrying out wireframing and prototyping, developing standards, processes, tools and best practice in the design of online products.

Additionally, you'll be using your expertise to upskill the wider team and colleagues across the charity to enable the creation of great audience experiences and to enhanced the quality and consistency of our digital offering.

About You

To be considered as a User Experience Designer, you will need:

  • Strong user research and usability testing experience, as well as the ability to draw meaningful insights from these
  • Experience in wireframing and rapid prototyping to bring ideas to life for end users
  • An understanding of agile, scrum and product-based approaches and how they relate to UX design
  • Substantial experience with Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, Invision
  • Strong knowledge and skills in UI/ visual design
  • A strong portfolio of work showing work on excellent digital experiences
  • Excellent knowledge of accessibility guidelines
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and bring others along
