Job Title: ICT Applications and Information EngineerLocation: Felixstowe, SuffolkSalary: £22,183 to £31,346 per annum, plus 7% shift allowanceJob Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: Rotational shift pattern between 8am to 8pm - Participation in an out of hours standby service is part of the rolePort Health's mission is the protection of public and animal health, carrying out a range of checks to ensure imported goods are safe for all of us in the UK.The RolePort Health's ICT team are crucial to supporting these operations, both internally by providing IT services and support to staff at Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority (SCPHA), and in supporting external users of SCPHA's applications.We are seeking an ICT Application/Information Engineer to provide technical support to our business systems with a strong emphasis on information and data. Working as part of a wider team, the post holder will be required to provide support and assistance to other members of the service desk and the wider ICT team.Key Duties:Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support, producing and collating reports, manipulating data, the investigation and resolution of IT issues to resolve service issues, as well as preparing technical and user documentation.Provide technical development, routine/operational works, and interface support to ensure business systems are performing efficiently and effectivelyPrepare and maintain technical and user documentation including policies, service designs, operational procedures and processes which ensure the effective operation, support, and development of Business Systems.Participation and involvement in corporate projects involving development of business systems, including detailed technical specification of business systems to suit business needs.Please note, this is a career graded post and salary progression is subject to specified qualifications, experience, competency, and the needs of the business.About you:Experience of administering business systemsExperience of Information Management techniquesExcellent communication skills and the ability to work co-operatively with colleagues at all levels.NVQ level 3 or equivalent in ICT related areaFormal System ManagementExcellent IT skills with an advanced level of ability in using technologyGood level of numeracy and literacyThe Benefits: Opportunities for training and development to enable you to build a great career with our organisation.
