Job title - Finance Manager Location - London / Remote Rate - up to £550 p/day via PAYE or £705 Umbrella Start date - ASAP Contract - 6 months Our financial services client is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team in the London office/remote working for an initial 6-month contract with a review to be extended. The role holder will be primarily responsible for:Contribute towards managing, developing and controlling the financial organisational design and implementationLead strategic change from initiation to execution and benefits realization, providing the business with end to end change supportTracking, running and monitoring the month-end accounting close process for costs and recharges, FTE exits, and escalating issues in a timely manner Providing accounting control and support to the wider Wholesale Transformation Investment PortfolioSupport the definition of robust cases for change, shaping clear customer/colleague outcomes and business valueThe role holder should be self-motivated, driven and task oriented, as well as having the ability to work within a team and with colleagues around the world. The role holder should also be prepared to work in an agile and flexible way due to the pace of change which the business is experiencing. Key accountabilities: Support integration of Wholesale Transformation financial management and services Control & ownership of the costs and saves tracking for both actuals and forecastData consolidation for cost and saves ensuring controls are in place so reporting is consistent across various systems and reportsEnsure accurate and timely booking of accruals and forecast journalsEnsure overspends are escalated as appropriate and value for money deliveredSupport for investment review processes e.g. toll-gate and group reviewMaintain and drive strong controls, data integrity and accuracy for investment reportingPerforming and supporting adhoc deliverables or new requests due to changing requirementsProvide support and analysis on overall FTE & costs to show the impact of FTE and cost saves derived from the investment and provide input to future planningConstant interaction with Wholesale Transformation Global, regional and programme teams to ensure syndication and alignment of all costs and savesSupporting the review and challenge of business cases to ensure alignment with strategic targetsProviding ad-hoc input into finance presentations particularly where financial or FTE data is required Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications: Knowledge:Qualified AccountantA knowledge of accounting principles to ensure financial reporting is accurate and well-governed Experience:Financial controller for large and / or complex cost base including responsibility for month-end cycles, forecasting and reporting to senior governance forumsAbility to prioritise tasks and be flexible in both mindset and approachExperience of working on finance for investment programmes or within a change environmentVery strong Excel skills - ability to quickly extract, analyse and distill large complex data sets into simple clear reportsAutomation and simplification of manual process whilst maintaining or improving controlsQlik experience desirable but not essential Capabilities:Ability to adapt communication, both written and verbal, to suit a wide range of senior stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal skills, effective at building relationships with teammates and stakeholders alikeOpen, honest and inclusiveStrong attention to detailHigh level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of transformational initiativesProactive, with the ability to work with limited guidance and often with limited data in order to drive decisions If you are relevant or interested please don't delay, contact me on 0161 503 5522 /
