In am currently in the market for a Lead Cloud Consultant to assist one of our longstanding client. You will be working for a global consultancy on a variety of different project.You will: Lead Agile development teams that exemplify Cloud Native best practice,Create cloud-native solutions that make best use of container-based and serverless environments running in public, private and hybrid cloud.Get deeply involved in the hands-on coding/development of projects for some of the world's largest and most prestigious enterprises. Assess existing complex solutions and recommend appropriate technical treatments to transform the application with Cloud Native/12-Factor characteristics.Work on PoC, MVP and Applications Transformation projects that target Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes-based environments.Driving thought-leadership within HCL, our clients and the industry at large through:Contributing to R&D innovation activities within HCL Producing white papers, reference architectures and best practices guidesProducing public-facing content such as blog posts and presentationsUse modern software development and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Agile, Scrum, XP and Domain Driven Design. Advise on Cloud Native application development best practices.Help lead, educate and mentor; teach less experienced engineers and share best practice approaches to modern software development. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 2+ years leading Agile development teams.2+ years' experience of building containerised microservices, event-driven or serverless applications for public, private or hybrid clouds.5+ years solid development background with experience working as part of a cross-functional team.Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.An understanding of best practices and patterns in software development including automated testing and other XP techniques.Understanding of and exposure to Kubernetes or OpenShift.EDUCATION BS level technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred; Master's Degree desired.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE CKAD, CFCD or CKA certificationAny public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud) certification.Experience of DevOps and automation such as setting up CI/CD from scratch.3+ years of modern Java (8+) programming experience with Spring Boot, JEE or similar.Experience with other programming languages, such as Go, C#, Python, Node.js.Experience creating highly available, large-scale enterprise applications.Experience of running OpenShift or Kubernetes in production. Experience with Infrastructure as Code e.g., Terraform or Ansible.Extra curricula software development passion (e.g., active open-source contributor).
