Line Manager: Group Director of IT
Job Purpose
Digital solutions are a key enabler to the Business achieving its next 5yr plan ambitions. This role is a new role, reporting to the Group Director of IT, to develop and deliver a group business strategy using a variety of technology solutions that will digitally transform their processes.
The role will also support the wider business (internal stakeholders) & external customers, to promote and utilise digital solutions at the core of the business.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
- Support Group Director of IT & Head of BI & ICT Development and develop, monitor, & oversee implementation of the group's digital solution roadmap in line with the business growth objectives, & priorities
- Liaise with senior stakeholders to establish business priorities & prioritise key digital developments accordingly
- Create & support a culture of digital innovation & best practice throughout the business, driving the innovation & adoption of technologies for the benefit of the business. Engage colleagues across the Group to help them identify & deliver digital solutions to enhance their business function
- Working closely with customer facing functions, drive the development of their CRM platform & eCommerce solution (including integration between the website, CRM, & iSeries) & enable future business sales plans
- Support marketing team to implement digital technology solutions to enable their digital plans
- Build a network of relationships with manufacturing centres of excellence & universities to help bring technology research & development ideas
- Work closely with & oversee technology deliveries from suppliers as part of the digital solution roadmap delivery
- Drive business/digital transformation & keep abreast of appropriate technology to ensure true business advantage is always offered
Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Experience in digital theory and its practical implementation in either B2B or B2C
- Experience of manufacturing and especially the commercial interiors industry would be an advantage
- Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing successful digital projects
- Ideally, in depth knowledge of digital marketing tools & techniques
- Strong planning and organisational skills
