Then join Shelter as a Senior Supporter CRM Officer and you could soon be playing a vital role within our Data Management & Insight team. About Shelter
A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change, with individuals, in communities, across society, and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve. At Shelter we are united by our purpose to defend the right to a safe home. Our enemy is the social injustice at the core of the escalating housing emergency. We believe that to win that fight, we must be representative of the people we are here to help and those who support our movement for change. In all our people decisions, we take pride in being inclusive, fair, equitable and transparent. We have committed to combat racism both within and outside Shelter and welcome you on our journey to becoming a truly anti-racist organisation.  About the team
Part of a thriving Income Generation Directorate, our Planning & Improvement department is the glue that binds together all income generation campaigns, appeals, activities and products. The team consists of three different areas: Planning & Project Management, Digital Fundraising and Data Management & Insight (DMI), which is where this role is based. The custodians of supporter data for its full life cycle, DMI deliver high quality supporter data and database management, administrative services and business insight to the department, as well as other teams across Shelter. This is your opportunity to join us and really make your mark.  About the role
If you're looking for a meaty role that comes with lots of variety and is incredibly heavily data orientated, in an organisation that's committed to a social cause, you've just found it. Here at Shelter, we're currently in the process of relaunching our data strategy - the technology and systems are in place, we just need the right people to back it up and bring it to life. Join us and, quite simply, you'll have the opportunity to live, breathe and execute a data strategy in a role that comes with a real sense of responsibility and which will be held in high regard throughout the organisation. Indeed, you'll play an integral role in effectively managing data in our new CRM system - Microsoft Dynamics and, by ensuring the successful use of supporter data across the organisation, help us achieve our ambitious goal of raising £90m per annum by 2023. We are happy to talk about flexible working, personal growth, and to promote a workplace where you can be yourself and achieve success based only on your merit. About you. Used to working with, and verifying, large data sets, you understand the complexities involved, where data errors and anomalies occur, and how to quickly identify and rectify them. A high degree of time sensitivity is important too. For example, if we're launching an event, the events team constantly look at their dashboards to check supporter sign ups/engagement. If deadlines aren't met, it can delay supporter journeys, so regular updates are essential so that the team can make judgment calls and change their strategy if required. As comfortable running data integrity checks, data validation and data manipulation tasks as you are liaising with a wide variety of teams in campaigns, marketing and income generation etc., proficiency using Talend would be a real plus, although intensive training can be given if required. Benefits
We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave (pro rata), enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme. Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.  To find out more about the role and the benefits of working for Shelter please visit our website. Apply to be part of our team and be the change you want to see in society. Safeguarding is everyone's business. Shelter is committed to protecting the health, wellbeing and human rights of those we support, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. All our staff will be expected to observe professional standards of behaviour and conduct their work in line with our Safeguarding Policies. Shelter does not accept unsolicited CVs from external recruitment agencies nor accept the fees associated with them.
