Where does this role sit and what does the business area do?

You would sit in Commercial and Business Banking Transformation (CBBT) directorship within the Markets Value Stream, Sales & Trading Engineering Lab.

Sales and Trading Engineering are pioneering 'Production Engineering' within the commercial banking . We're focused on delivering a strong production service to the Front Office, ensuring production change happens efficiently without incident and driving continuous improvement at a service, team and personal level.

The team is a mix of business, application and technical analysts based in London and we cover services across FX, MM, FI, regulatory compliance, market data and data analytics. We work closely with the financial markets business, across asset classes covering shifts and an on call rota.

Our team mission is to deliver high quality support to ensure Front Office service exceeds agreed service levels while building trusted relationships within IT and the business. We look to work in an agile and collaborative manner, always learning and improving ourselves and sharing knowledge with the wider team.

What will the role entail?

Acting as a senior manager within the team you will provide leadership to the team, whilst maintaining hands on focus. You'll be expected to provide a first class incident and problem resolution service.

You'll work as part of the team covering multiple applications developing a broad understanding of systems and our business.

You'll be responsible for day-to-day incident resolution as well as addressing system stability and leading root cause analysis and resolution for some of our very critical system including, but not limited too; ION, Fixed Income or FX applications.

Line management of a small team, plus task management of a wider group of staff including 3rd parties would be within your remit. That includes everything you would expect from developing your staff, though to workload allocation and acting as the senior point of contact for key partners.

In addition to the above, you will also have a dotted line to the Engineering Lead for the Markets Value Stream with a view to bringing best practices in the run team to the other parts of the Value Stream. This will include, but not be limited to, unifying how incidents are classified across the three labs, a data driven approach to incident management and root cause analysis and forming a coherent strategy for the offshore support teams.

What do we need to see from applicants?

We like diversity in our office and are keen to see applications from a variety of backgrounds. As this is a senior management level role we need to see some your CV demonstrate as much of the following as possible:

Prior experience of providing high quality 2nd/3rd level application support across multiple applications within a trading/marketing/investment banking or other related industry.

Leadership experience in a previous role

Knowledge of network topologies and firewalls for managing ECNs or external connectivity

Drive to reduce manual tasks and recurring issues through automation, improvement of the feedback loop from support back into development/QA

What do I get in Return?

As a new colleague to the team, you'll join us on our journey to build a 21st century bank that reflects modern Britain and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel encouraged and valued. You'll help us in our transformation journey. You'll have good career opportunities because of our Engineering expansion and the general size of Lloyds. We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and equal opportunity and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.

Together we'll make it possible!
