Network Engineer London to £60k

Network Engineer / Infrastructure (TCP/IP Multi-cast Cisco Windows). Ae you a skilled Network Engineer? You could be progressing your career and gaining valuable knowledge of low latency networking / infrastructure solutions at a global Investment Management firm.

As a Network Engineer you'll responsible for supporting networks, firewalls and servers. You'll get involved with the architecture and support of a growing network infrastructure as well as building and maintaining datacentre infrastructure including network and server hardware, operating systems and server virtualisation. You'll perform ongoing tuning, hardware maintenance and resource optimisation to reduce latency; respond to incidents and alerts; monitor network and server performance and work with external vendors to design and implement solutions.

Driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home; the expectation is for a gradual return to the office with 1-2 days a week WfH going forward; when you are in the City based offices you can enjoy a friendly team environment and relaxed dress code.

Requirements:

You have strong Cisco network infrastructure administration experience, ideally CCNP certified

You have an indepth understanding of TCP/IP, multi-cast, routing and switching

You have experience of supporting Windows server environments

You have experience of installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco / HP routers and switches within a production environment

You're a pro-active problem solver, able to think strategically

You have excellent communication skills, are collaborative and willing to mentor others, able to influence technical and strategic decision making
