Job Description This role is accountable for the delivery of highly complex or high-profile projects and programmes for Sage working closely with business colleagues from across all regions. The Programme Manager will be accountable for supporting the definition of strategy, then initiating, setting direction, creating plans, defining and managing resource to deliver against the needed deliverables. The project manager will manage teams of multidisciplinary colleagues in a virtual and matrix environment to ensure project delivery is executed to the highest standards and risks and issues are effectively identified, managed and mitigated. The Project Manager will manage multiple concurrent and complex projects at any one time. With a broad range of stakeholders, the project manager must be able to communicate, challenge and influence at all levels.

The Programme Manager may have direct management responsibility for a small team of project managers or work stream leads, with responsibility for their project delivery and professional development. Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the Programme Manager will help shape portfolio management within Sage and define best practice in project and programme management across Sage. Key Responsibilities Accountable for the delivery of global programmes within the portfolio
Leadership of international project/programme teams, ensuring delivery though these teams at the highest standards Delivery of projects to time / cost / scope / quality in line with PMO defined methodology Planning and tracking of multiple projects and programmes, including defining required resource and budget for delivery, and communication of progress through regular reporting Identification and management of risks and issues to prevent or reduce impact on delivery within projects or through cross project / programme risks Contractor and 3rd party supplier management within projects or programmes Focus on delivery to meet benefits of the project Lead project debriefs and implement improvements to build on lessons learnt Support the development and roll out of PMO portfolio, gate and Project Management Methodology across Business Operations Developing and mentoring colleagues in project and programme capabilities
