Data Science Physicist This Data Science Physicist vacancy is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physicist or those coming out of an experimental or theoretical physics degree who have then turned their hand to data science; if you’re coming from a computer science background it likely won’t be suitable! Our client is a global household name in the consumer product space and you will be joining their R&D team just south of Cambridge. This site has ~30 people total and you will be working directly with a multi-disciplinary team of ~7. So whilst they operate and deploy globally, you get the start-up feel on a day-to-day basis but with the big name behind you. Primary responsibilitiesThe work here is more akin to blue-sky research, as you’ll primarily be creating prototypes for new product developmentUtilising your physics expertise to define the future consumer electronic devicesData capturing, extraction, analysis and reportingIntegrating data from multiple sourcesCreating ML models in Python, Pandas, Numpy or similarRequired experience
MSc or PhD in Physics, Experimental or TheoreticalData Science interest and understandingMachine Learning and associate libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, TensorFlowPredictive modellingStatisticsPython What’s on offer?
