Purpose of Job:

The midweight engineer will work across the engineering stack and will participate in the design, development, delivery and operation of digital products and services in a secure, scalable and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities:

Participate in the vertical ownership of the entire software stack if individual products and services including but not limited to support, monitoring and full operational responsibility.

Help code and develop digital products and services.

Help design software based solutions and services to service both Internal & External stakeholders.

Actively engage with open source and technology communities.

Work on other products and tooling like our testing stack, continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Craft unique user experiences in an agile setting. Participating as an active member of the agile delivery team,

Essential Skills and Competencies:

Commercial experience of developing full stack JavaScript applications.

Commercial experience of most of the following technologies,

NodeJS

REST / GraphQL

React

Serverless Framework

AWS

Continuous Integration (Concourse / CircleCI / GitHub Actions)

Load Testing

Automated Testing

GIT

Understanding of 12 factor application development and its application across a stack.

Experience of running and maintaining production workloads hosted on AWS or similar top tier cloud providers.
