A fast-growing engineering specialist business based in Northamptonshire are now looking to grow their highly skilled, innovative, and enthusiastic team with the addition to hire of a passionate Embedded Software Engineer.
The role:
As the Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be working on an array of high-level exciting projects for new and emerging technologies to bring new products from concept through to production. The Embedded Software Engineering role offers the opportunity for a talented Embedded Software Engineer to genuinely push themselves and improve their skills further.
Salary:
The salary on offer for successful Embedded Software Engineer is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
2-3+ years minimum industry experienceFull software development life cycle experienceExperience taking a product from initial idea creation right through to productionEmbedded Software Programming in C, C++Bare metal programmingExperience of Embedded software maintenance and debuggingAbility to read electronic schematics and component datasheetsNetwork interface - I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, CAN, EthernetExperience in handling of testing and measurement equipment (Oscilloscope, signal generator, bench power supply etc.)Version Control - GIT, SVN, Jira, MercurialAbility to work well within a multi-disciplinary R&D team, as well as on individual projects
Highly advantageous nice to have skills:
Embedded Operating Systems (FreeRTOS, Yocto, Embedded Linux, QNX, VxWorks etc)Scripting experience - Python, Bash, etc.MISRA CExperience with Unit Testing and Static AnalysisExperience with C#.NETKnowledge of Unix/Linux environments and embedded LinuxExperience with STM32 product family and architectureExperience with HDL (VHDL or Verilog)
