Application Production Analyst - .Net / C++ /Java Windows SQL scripting  Investment Bank 

Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in similar role, majority of which should have been gained within a Capital Markets context.  He/she must be experienced in providing multi-disciplined technical support on application platforms and middleware components, performance and capacity management and good knowledge of SQL and database management, Release & Configuration management and with good  analytic troubleshooting skills set.

Production experience across the following:

Technical Expertise - primarily trained in Windows, scripting, SQL and  development code basic knowledge.

Software/Application Skills  - Good skills knowledge in configuration management and supporting of the following .NET, C#/C++ and Java applications.

Analytics - Working with large data sets and SQL procedures, manipulating data structure, configuration troubleshooting and databases, extracting and reporting of data.

Server Monitoring and deployment toolsets - SVN, Python, Bladelogic, Altiris and Geneos

DevOps -  Core knowledge of  Ansible, BitBuckets, Artifactory  ElasticSearch,Jenkins

Purpose: Maintaining and improving the availability of Trading Platforms by working in conjunction with development teams and global APS teams, applying rigorous controls for validating release and changes into production, implementing automation, DEVOPS practices and providing toolset for deployment and configuration consistencies globally. Organise and coordination with internal teams for execution plans and business activities to minimise impact participate in platform reviews and setup to meet continuous business capacity demands

Scope: Manage Production with ITIL procedures and controls working with APS and Development teams for constancy is application hosting, common infrastructure setups, configuration management and management of data repositories. Participating in projects working with global teams for key dependencies of trading platforms software/hardware refreshes and on-going maintenances for infrastructure, mandatory patching and IT security governance. Provide 1st line APS Teams with knowledge and documentation, whilst providing highest level of support and technical guidance to peers.
