Network Engineer - EU Secret

Our client are looking to add an additional Network Engineer to work alongside their current engineers

They require a profile holding a EU (or NATO) Security Clearance

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months, extendable in 2022

Location: Onsite in Strasbourg (France)

Profile must be eager to learn on the job, and able to rapidly work autonomously.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

F5 (Loadbalancer)

* LTM : Local Traffic Management

* APM : Access Policy manager

HPE Switches:

* Top-of-rack switches

* Chassis switches

* Based on: Comware 7 and 5

* Cisco Switches:

* Top-of-rack switches;

* IOS software;

Stonesoft:

* NGFW (Next Generation FireWall)

* SMC Stonesoft Management Center

* (Experience in Checkpoint firewalls is also valid)

OS:

* Redhat

* HPux

ACTIVITIES AND TASKS:

* The following activities and tasks are expected from the consultant:

* Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching on HP and Cisco switches;

* Configure and troubleshoot firewall behaviour;

* Configure NAT'ing on firewalls;

* Create and implement a design for the F5 load-balancers based on requirements supplied by an application-team;

* Able to troubleshoot and create support cases for all network devices;

* No experience with installing, maintaining or replacing hardware is required;

* Report on project progress and take part in project-meetings;

* Document the entire network solution;

* Participate and help in migrating the entire solution into the customers' network environment;

The consultant is expected to:

* Be able to work in an international-team of various disciplines;

* Work on-site (Strasbourg) for at least 4 days a week;

* Be able to drive troubleshoot

* Be in possession of a security clearance EU/NATO Secret

* Have a sufficient level of English-proficiency to be understood in a professional context

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
